7/9/2023 0 Comments Is teamviewer safe osrs![]() ![]() I'd advise against ever using any third-party programmes regardless of how many people might vouch for them. I just feel that using any software to play RuneScape other than official stuff made by Jagex, isn't a good idea no matter what.īasically, use at your own risk. This fact isn't why I'd like to tell people to avoid using TV - quite the contrary. but, the fact remains that it did indeed trigger an incorrect ban. It wasn't much of a problem, since he didn't seem too interested in the game anyways. On the third day, his account was banned as I was watching him play. Two days went by, and during this time TV was always open. I finally convinced him to try RuneScape, so I switched TV's viewing side to him, and started showing him how to play. To further explain - I was hosting a MineCraft server for him, that we had been managing for about two years. It triggered botwatch and incorrectly identified my clicking on his screen, as a bot client. One of my old friends (two-ish years ago?) had an account banned, for using Team Viewer. I don't feel comfortable with letting an AI monitoring programme run wild. I don't know (nor like) how botwatch works, and it's trigger happy at best. using it for RuneScape is something that I'd like to suggest that you avoid. I've happily used it for multiple purposes, including helping others with their PC issues. On the topic of your actual question though. ![]() If you're as "paranoid" about RuneScape account security as I am, then I'd take Ashwyr's and my advice. I strictly use software made by Jagex, and nothing else. I strictly play at my Desktop PC, and nowhere else. If you value your account to the highest regard, only play RS on a desktop PC with an oldschool keyboard+mouse. Please don't use a remote desktop thing to play RuneScape. I wish people would stop spreading misinformation. ![]() I wish people would stop just telling people that remote access is fine and "WILL NOT" get you banned because there is a possibility that it can. ![]() Let me go ahead and copy-paste something I posted on the Forums a bit ago and on reddit a bit ago, when someone asked if using Remote Desktop to play was fine: ![]()
